Philippine House Veterans Committee Delegation Meets with Co-Chairmen of Philippine-US Friendship Caucus

The Philippine House
Veterans Committee Delegation headed by Congressman Antonio Diaz met
with U.S. Representatives Bob Filner (D, 51st CA) and Darrell Issa (R,
49th CA) at separate meetings on 16 April 2008 at the U.S. House of
Representatives to discuss the Filipino WWII Veterans Equity Bill
pending at the U.S. Congress and to express appreciation for their
steady advocacy and support for strong Philippine-U.S. relations and for
Philippine interests in the U.S. Congress.
Representatives Filner and Issa are both co-founders and current
co-chairmen of the Philippine-U.S. Friendship Caucus in the U.S. House
of Representatives which has currently around 83 members (57 Democrats,
26 Republicans).
