Embassy Welcomes Official Delegation From the Veterans Committee of the Philippine House of Representatives

Philippine Ambassador to the United
States Willy C. Gaa welcomed a Congressional Delegation from the
Veterans Affairs and Welfare Committee of the Philippine House of
Representatives. The delegation is in Washington D.C. for a series of
meetings with members of the U.S. Congress in a bid to support and
complement lobbying efforts for the passage of a Filipino Veterans
Equity Bill. The delegation will also be meeting with members of the
Filipino American community and veterans organizations during their stay
in Washington D.C.
The Delegation is headed by Representative Antonio Magsaysay Diaz,
Chairman of the Veterans Affairs and Welfare Committee. He is
accompanied by Representative Rozzano Rufino B. Biazon, Vice Chairman of
the Veterans Affairs and Welfare Committee; Representative Roman T.
Romulo, Member of the Veterans Affairs and Welfare Committee;
Undersecretary Ernesto G. Carolina, Administrator of the Philippine
Veterans Administration Office (PVAO); and Justice (Ret.) Manuel R.
Pamaran, Vice President of the Veterans Foundation of the Philippines (VFP).
