Embassy Conducts Forum on Income Taxation to Newly Arrived Filipino Teachers
In cooperation with the Association of Filipino
Accountants in Metro Washington D.C., Inc (AFAI), the Philippine Embassy
sponsored a forum on income taxation for newly-arrived Filipino teachers
on 12 January 2008 at the Business Center of the Metroplace Apartments
at Suitland, Maryland. This forum is one of several efforts being
conducted by the Embassy to help orient newly-arrived Filipino teachers
and workers to their new environment and inform them of their rights and
privileges under Federal and state laws.
