Embassy Hosts Book Launching for Profiles Encourage
On 28 January 2008 the
Philippine Embassy hosted a book launch for "Profiles Encourage:
Ordinary Filipino Making an Extraordinary Difference." The book is an
anthology of 10 stories about ordinary Filipinos who are living lives of
concrete action, meaningful results, and enduring integrity.
PHOTO: Anna Hidalgo, one of the editors of the book, is a young Filipina
professional working for a Washington D.C. based international
development organization. She graduated from University of Philippines
(B.A. Communications) and was a Fulbright scholar at Johns Hopkins
University- School of Advance International Studies (MA International
Relations).
