Ambassador Gaa Welcomes Newly Arrived Filipino Teachers

 

Philippine Ambassador to the U.S. Willy C. Gaa welcomed 28 Filipino teachers at the Embassy’s Romulo Hall on 14 December 2007 in Washington D.C. The 28 Filipinos, who arrived on 8-9 December 2007 were the latest group of Filipino teachers to teach at various Prince Georges Public Schools. Just like the previous batch of teachers, these newly arrived teachers are to teach English, Math, Sciences, and Special Education. During the welcome reception, Consul General Ding Nolasco and Labor Attaché Linda Herrera briefed the teachers on the programs and services of the front line offices of the Embassy as part of the Embassy’s effort to orient newly-arrived Filipinos of their rights as foreign workers and of the services the Embassy provides Filipinos working in the U.S.
